It looks quite close to another car Nissan debuted around the same time, the Saurus Jr.
Well, technically the Saurus predated both by a couple of years, but the Saurus Jr. actually made it into production for use in a sort of Spec racing series in Japan. They originally came with the MA10E, a 1.0 I4 making 70 hp.
Every once in awhile, they will pop up for sale. Heck, one even showed up on BaT a few years back.
